Blipsnap

I knew just what I blipped on this day last year, so this is no coincidence. Features another of the little bowls that I can't resist buying when I'm in Spain.

Market in Lézignan this morning. There was plenty of choice of cherries, in quality and price. These are from Céret at a moderate 7.90 a kilo (in the village shop this afternoon I noted that they're now almost 15 euros a kilo ... they're not selling many). Most of these will go into compote. We also bought strawberries (already eaten), melon, oranges, peaches. S was let loose on his own at the cheese stall and we now have a disconcertingly large amount of proper French cheese.

It was pizza night last night. While we were away, the couple who used to run the pizza van sold the business to an Italian couple. Somewhat surprisingly, the pizzas aren't as good -- they were very thin, but undercooked and not crispy. We'll ask for bien cuit next time! In any case it was a convivial evening. We hung out at the bar with A and B to share pizzas, and finished the evening (and the bottle of wine) at theirs with cheese and biscuits and coffee. We didn't stay late though, because they were off to the airport early this morning.
