Resting Dragon

The weather was not the best again so a rather lazy morning before going to Morrisons to do some shopping . Back home and a spot of late lunch.

Still not the best of weather but wanted to get out and about so decided to pop to Fiskerton Fen again , thankfully the sun did try to come out but only in very short blasts. A few bits around but nothing to exciting . We walked up to the river bank part of the reserve and the wind was quite fresh but we braved it . While walking back we was rewarded by spotting a couple of Dragonflies which thankfully 1 didn't go to far and dropped into the grass . We managed to locate it and it stayed put for me to get some shots and even allowed me to move the grass from around it to get this clear shot of it. I have managed to ID it as a Black Tailed Skimmer . On the way back Julie spotted a lovely Common Blue which she blipped . So well worth the visit 

Back home now chilling and will watch some sport on TV most probably the Europa league final but watching cricket at the moment T20 blast   and some more general TV viewing later.
