Dessert Anyone?

Actually I cannot recommend it (are you surprised).

Don't get me wrong there is some wonderful food here in Singapore, great curries, Satays, Peking Duck and of course Chilli Crab (although you do need to be hosed down with a pressure washer afterwards)....but this dish isn't one of them!

This called agar agar, sold in hawker stalls and juice bars.
Not sure if they still use Agar to make this, but it is a VERY firm layered jelly and tastes of.... well, wet, sweet and slightly coconutty
An acquired taste, I have yet to acquire

PS The colour is actually that lurid
