River of Flowers

Another view along the garden.

A grey, cloudy and chilly day, the sun came out briefly and we had a few light showers too.

I planted up the purple podded pea seedlings into a large plastic tub with a bamboo teepee. Also transplanted some tomato plants - so many have damped off with the cold and wet weather, the commercial compost is also pretty poor this year.

Decided to put a few Italian Wild Rocket seedlings into a terracotta pot, I tried a leaf and they are very fresh and spicy. These are from the Cottage Garden Seed Swap and the first year that I have tried them. They are supposed to be perennial. It will be interesting to see if their flowers are similar to the Rocket I grew last year.

There are a few brave bees around the garden but it is truly cold and a bit miserable.

The above was written at 4pm. By 5pm the clouds cleared and it was a lovely late afternoon and evening. Typical x
