Fun Visit

With my dear old friend Devon today. When I woke up it was drizzling, which it continued to do, with some pretty good showers mixed in. Not enough to dampen one's spirits, so we met at the Arboretum and walked for a while, enjoying the lovely, damp smell of the earth and trees. 

Afterwards we went up to Cornell Farms, where they have a fabulous cafe. Always really busy, but maybe a tad less so on a rainy day. At any rate, we managed to find parking spots, had a lovely lunch, and wandered through the nursery afterwards. 

I spotted this amazing pink dogwood, but didn't catch the cultivar. And we walked under this gorgeous arbor of pink roses on the way to the kitchen garden. The extra doesn't do it justice!
