Lupine time

It's that time in Maine. There are fields of lupine. They actually aren't native but have become beloved by many. I have tried to get them to spread in our front meadow area to no avail. But I have a number of them in the back gardens given to me by a friend. They seem to be doing well and are actually spreading into the vegetable beds where I dig them up and transplant them.
Dan should be home in an hour or so..... with two more female ducks along for the ride. The weekend host apparently has a surplus of ducks. Sluggo will soon not be lonely. I still have not seen hide nor feather of the missing birds so presume they are truly gone. Pictures to come tomorrow.
