Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Hard work ....

.... but not by us.

Another great local connection.  We mentioned to our DPD delivery man (he's been quite a regular visitor over the last few months) that we were looking for someone to help in the garden - he thought he might know just the man.  Turned out to be his son-in-law, T.

T put in a hard day's work in searing heat today.  First job was to tidy up the ditch at the side of the road, that W hadn't quite managed to finish last Friday.  Then he set to and started lifting the turf so that we can create a flower bed here.  It's a tough job, and he's done nearly half.

We had a power cut about 3.30 this afternoon - lasted about 2 hours.  We all packed up work (even Husky, who stops wherever he happens to be when power stops flowing through the perimeter wires) except T, who had no idea the power was off!

And his partner - so DPD man's daughter - came along to meet us, and is going to help me to keep on top of the housework!

Another lovely evening - we ate dinner on the patio, then sat out on our swing seat till 8.30.  Might have sat out longer, but the internet is iffy out there, and I needed to blip.
