Water lily

Thursday
Roger had another appointment with the eye specialist around lunchtime, so having dropped him off, I drove to nearby Summit Park for a walk, while I waited. Summit Park in Blue Ash is on the grounds of the former regional airport, which was closed in 2012. It has since been developed into a mixed use development, with new apartment blocks around part of the perimeter, several restaurants, a large event lawn - they have a big event there for July 4th with a live band and culminating in a huge firework display - playgrounds, an observation tower and a more natural area, with a small lake and trails. The lake had quite a number of water lilies, and that is what I chose for my blip. When Roger was done, He texted me, and I went back to pick him up. Unfortunately, the news on his eye this week was rather disappointing, there wasn’t as much change as they expected, and specifically the gas bubble they injected into the eye hadn’t reduced as much as expected, and the significance of that is that he can’t fly until that bubble is gone, and we are supposed to be flying to Europe in two weeks time! So it’s continued lying on his side for 16 hours a day, and continuing to take it easy. Meanwhile we continue to hope and pray!
