Crumpled Paper Flowers

I inherited this bush of cistus when I moved in nearly 30 years ago (wow! Where has that time gone!). It was originally a shrub next to the porch, but has now spread along the boundary between my and my neighbour's front gardens. Every year it blossoms with these lovely pink flowers with their paper-like crumpled petals despite being in full sun with no water or maintenance, apart from trimming back so the postie can get up the path!
