North Berwick

A quick snap of the main shopping street in North Berwick. A pretty, and extremely crowded, place and we could see why. Chris was on a mission to find some shorts that were slimmer fitting as even he has been feeling the heat!

The day has been slightly frustrating. We set out to find a particular small camera and arrived at the small camera shop after a good half hour drive to find it out of business.  Then Chris's research led him to a strange outdoor clothing supplier but it was an online shop only! Thankfully N Berwick came up trumps. 

On our travels we stopped in Gullane, thinking vaguely about golf, but the eye watering green fee and lack of real time out is of. We consoled ourselves with excellent homemade ice cream and a sit on the brown grass while Berry chomped dried leaves (she is a dog of peculiar habits).

We thought we'd potter along to the local castle at Dirleton only to find out closed because of masonry inspections. So disappointing as it had very pleasant looking gardens too.  Some Health and Safety enthusiast at work?

A somewhat frustrating day.
