The accidental finding

By woodpeckers

Cahir castle, co. Tipperary

We left Shannon in the morning and headed off through county Tipperary to the town of Cahir, where we paused for an hour. I was immediately drawn to the river Suir, it looked do cool and inviting on a hot day. Further along, as I walked in bare feet through buttercup-studded meadows, groups of school teenagers were gathered. Some had their bikinis on and were wading into the water. There wasn't a single "no swimming" "danger of death" or "no public access" sign.
