On the move again

We were up, showered, changed and down for breakfast early this morning as we needed to catch a train just after 9:30am.  It was sad saying goodbye to the family, but we’ll see them again at the end of the month.  We caught the train to London Victoria, had time to buy some wine and chocolates, then caught a train to Westgate-on-Sea.  We’re staying with a dear friend of mine and her partner, the very first friend I made when I arrived in London 21 years ago.  The train journey passed quickly and soon we’d arrived in Westgate-on-Sea, were greeted by my friend, who whisked us home to a delicious lunch.  We had lots to catch up on, but soon we had to dash off to meet the couple who used to live next door to us in Ramsgate.  We met them at 3pm and finally parted company at 6pm.  We had such fun catching up with all their news - a really enjoyable afternoon.  We arrived back home to be invited to walk to the nearby pub for a drink.  MrMacD, of course, couldn’t turn down the opportunity for a pint of London Pride.  It was lovely sitting in the sun overlooking the sea.  We returned home to have supper then went out for a walk to watch the sunset.  I haven’t taken a photo of the sunset for a long time.
