Foggy and grey

We woke this morning to a whiteout caused by heavy fog. It gradually lifted and we had sunshine for a brief period before the cloud cover blocked the sun. As you’ll see from the blip it’s a grey, dismal day.

The cloud cover didn’t stop people from getting out for a walk (including us) and playing volley ball on the beach. One chap found a novel way of using his bike to sit on to watch the volleyball - no doubt inspired by the fact a bunch of girls were playing.

There are 3,235 new community cases today, and the seven-day rolling average is 4,991 compared to 5,919 last Sunday. The number of people in hospital is 356, including 5 in ICU. Another 5 deaths have been reported, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,406 and the seven-day rolling average to 12.
