Taking the indoors outdoors

As we set off to meet her big sister from school, Amala decided to stick a box of magnetic letters in the bottom of the pushchair. When we got to the school they both of course wanted to spend some time in the adjacent playground. After half an hour we were starting to think about leaving, but Kushla had spotted the box of letters. I protested that they were not really an outdoor toy, but apparently I was wrong. The railings were metal and that's all that was needed. "Matthew, you do the green ones, I'll do the blue ones, Anouk do the yellow ones, and Amala you do the orange ones." Children are improvisers. .

On the way home we had a bit of role reversal. The big one got to ride in the pushchair when the little one decided she wanted to walk and agreed to carry the schoolbag. See extra.
