Rural scene

Looking over the hedge at our neighbours dairy cows reminds me of when we had a dairy. Such hard work for little gain but it did produce cash flow for the farm with the milk cheque arriving on our doorstep once a month! Now we have to wait six months until we are able to sell the corn, if we have any harvest! The agronomist said our crops weren't that good but may catch up to a certain extent if there is a period of hot weather before 21st June. The ground is still saturated and cold after the recent heavy rain. Never mind, we have decided to keep some of the beef cattle in the yards to fatten and they will be ready to sell when we take them to market during the next few months. All is not lost!
