Ladies who Lunched

Met Elaine at the bus station in Harrogate, we had each taken two buses to get there. Both of us had really good journeys and connections, Public transport is brilliant when it runs as smoothly as it did today.

We looked at a few shops, mainly to drool in TOAST but wasn’t tempted to buy .
Did get a cheap pair of reading glasses in Primark for £2 so l could read the menu as l’d come out my house with two pairs of sunglasses by mistake:-))
We chose Côte Brasserie and had a splendid lunch: sea bass for E and steak frites for me.
Unusually for both of us we declined a starter but with good reason because we had both spotted blueberry clafoutis on the menu and we weren’t disappointed.

Between us we are both busy over the next four weekends so we hope to meet on a Wednesday for another lunch or a walk in July.
No tap tonight as my teacher is preparing for her daughter’s wedding  this coming Saturday , did mean l could have a glass of wine with my lunch as l now don’t have to drive tonight.
