Dragon Seat Alnwick

Kat was visiting Alnwick Gardens, then due to come down to visit the day after.  It seemed to be sensible that rather than drive up to Edinburgh to pick her up we drove to Alnwick, a similar distance.  Before we met up with her Clickychick and I had time for a stroll round the town.  We stopped at the strangely named "pig in Muck" on the market square.  One particular seat caught my eye.

Closer inspection revealed a plaque which said " Seat designed by St Oswald's School 2005 and funded by the Local Heritage Initiative and others for Alnwick Community Development Trust to commemorate the history of the marketplace".  I found the design interesting in that rather than being a seat with a back the "back" ran between two seats allowing people to sit on both sides.  Either the children were very skilled artists or the design has been "tidied" by an adult.  The head was very artistic and looked quite friendly.
