Musing of a Lady

In Memory

It's been a little over 9 months since Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away. It's was the end of an era as most of us couldn't remember a time when she wasn't on the throne. 70 years is a very long time, the longest reigning monach in British history (Louis XIV of France takes the title of longest reigning monach in the world at 72 years and 110 days after coming to the throne at aged 4). We've seen a new king crowned, Charles III, along with his queen, Camilla, and a new era begin for the country, the commonwealth, and the world.

Little Man wanted to go for a ride in his pushchair this morning, and so off we went. We wondered through town and the park, named after Queen Victoria. That's where this flower display and the benches are. I had to take a photo, and thankfully, I managed to get one just before someone sat down on this bench with their shopping. The benches and flower display overlook the bowling green where we've seen people play bowls.

When we got home, we hung out until Little Man decided he wanted to go for a walk and brought me his harness and reigns. We headed out to the park where he burned off some steam, and I got to chat with a lovely Nigerian woman who'd come to the park with her mother and daughter. We then came home, had dinner and a bath, before going to bed.

I did manage to sleep considerably better last night.
