Tiger Lily

Our last day in the Lakes for a while.  We decided not to walk with the group, but became tourists for the day.  We visited a place called Acorn Bank which is a National Trust property near Temple Sowerby in Cumbria. It started out a rainy day but it stopped as we arrived and after a coffee the sun came out as we explored the gardens and surrounds. We loved these Tiger Lilies.  (We had to text a friend to identify them!) 

A wonderful place full of interest (if you like gardens!) with lots of planting to encourage wildlife......and not left to overgrow! Well, not all of it anyway.  A lovely end for a great trip. A long drive home on Saturday
