Bath with a view

Phone call from the estate agent at the end of last week. The couple buying the flat had requested another viewing so they can measure up, and today was one of the days they suggested. They'd already asked for the non-functioning under-counter fridge (I used it as a cupboard) to be removed from the kitchen.

So this afternoon we set off for Wooler straight from the doctors' surgery, immediately after I'd had a pneumonia jab. Once there, MrM removed the fridge, and put it in the van ready to take to the tip first thing in the morning, and did a couple of things in the workshop. Meanwhile, I did the last little bit of cleaning - well, quite a lot of cleaning where the fridge used to be - and piled up the remaining few items to pack into the van tomorrow.

To avoid sleeping in the flat again we had booked a cheap-ish hotel room,  but on arrival they upgraded us to a room with a bath, above which shone fairy lights! It would no doubt make for a romantic evening with soft music and a bottle of champagne, but after we'd eaten MrM and I were fit only to retire to bed!
