Crisping wheat

I thought to get a photo today of the wheat fields I pass most days before the combine harversters arrive which is imminent.  It is so lovely to see the wheat turning lighter and crispy.  When the harvesting is done and the bales are together, the goats have such a feast clearing up all the stubble!

It's been a lovely, relaxing Sunday, with a late, long lunch after the morning's climbing, followed by iced-coffees. It really is too hot (35C)  for much else other than keeping cool!
