An accident - Success Vs.Failure?

I went out and shot a diversity of things, front garden only.  On my way back indoors I saw this obliging Critter.  S/he sat long enough for 1-3 shots; behold the best/most successful.
   Wherein lieth the failure?  In the fact that, even much "enbiggered" I failed to get the compound eye(s).
