?

Not sure what this flower is - I saw it on the walk back from feeding my sister's cats this morning.  The flower looks like prickly lettuce, but the buds don't.

Hot day, so we mostly hid indoors, but I drove to Morrisons in the afternoon to look at plants for my Mum's hanging baskets.  Ended up buying a couple of ready planted baskets, and a load of plants to re-stock a third one that she already had.  Also bought myself a beautiful outdoor calla lily and a little indoor fern for the bathroom - both of which Mum insisted on paying for, bless her.
