A Cautionary Tail? Voigtlander Color-Heliar 75mm

For those of you who have followed this saga over the last six months, this Blip represents the end of 1/3 of the story: the tail.  The cautionary part is this: if a musician orders a custom harpsichord, and then cancels, one shouldn't go on to complete the instrument.  One should stop in one's tracks, and save the trouble, - nearly twenty years later -, of having to cut the poor thing into pieces and turn it into something else.  Here is a link to the beginning of the saga.
My talented and tireless Editor, painted and stenciled the smallest piece of the harpsichord, once I had completed the surgical woodworking aspects of the operation.  On Saturday, the object d'art went up on the wall in the living room where it will serve as a display case for a couple of family heirlooms, and share the wall with a  Venetian Carnival mask brought back from our travels.   The miniature Ali Baba jars were acquired by my late father when he was stationed in Alexandria, Egypt, at the R.A.M.C. hospital during  WW2.  The jars are purportedly from Damascus, Syria, and have silver and copper filigree work weaving around their brass walls.  I polished them for the occasion, taking care not to awaken any sleeping djinn within.
The other two thirds of the harpsichord have a different future which will soon be revealed here.
