Return to the Lily Pads

I actually manage a meal out with friends today - a long-delayed birthday treat from our lovely neighbours Rob and Terry. It’s something of an ordeal as the venue in an hour away and I’m feeling particularly queasy this morning, but by the time we arrive I’m feeling better and actually enjoy my meal. 

Returning home, however, I’m too tired to even think of picking up my camera, so please excuse a return to yesterday’s lily ponds. Whilst yesterday’s shot - and thanks so much for your kind responses- focused on the demise of a damsel, today’s are very much concerned with life. I’m so happy to see these gorgeous emperors back - there seem to be so many more around than last year.
