Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Reserve

A lovely morning.

I played with Merlin and soon after I got there he heard the kingfisher. I thought I’d heard him too, and it was good to have this confirmed. He flew past fast so I had no photo opportunity.  Later he returned and I saw him flash into the tree opposite. Optimistically I snapped where I’d seen him - and he’s there when you zoom in.

Merlin also heard a Long Eared Owl. I didn’t see it and was puzzled. Apparently they have Barn Owls there and it would be possible, but you’d have to be very lucky.

My blip caught an intimate moment……
