Ditchling to Southease

This morning we resumed our walking, by starting from Ditchling Beacon and heading first east to Blackcap, and then  south, over the downs to the little village of Southease (a distance of 12 miles). My blip shows the  church at Southease  with its unusual round  tower. Inside it has old painted walls.
The extra shows our lunch stop , over looking Kingston  village.
Today it was not so hot and more breezy which  made for more comfortable walking.
As on  previous days, we were accompanied by the song of Skylarks for much of the time  on the downs, with Yellowhammers and Whitethroats singing in the hedgerows.  We  still  saw lots of orchids, vetches, daisies  and other wild flowers, and  masses of butterflies, including a few Painted Ladies, today.
