"Maureen and Daisy"

Today the weather was beautiful again. It was good to walk out and see people so happy with a bit of sunshine.

Maureen and Daisy are often to be seen around our town. Maureen used to have a stall at Affleck's Palace selling antiques many years ago, now she just "buys and sells" where she can. She usually has copious amounts of carrier bags and I often wonder how she juggles the bags and the dogs lead so well.
When you see Maureen she always has a tale to tell. One of our villages colourful characters, she lives in the neighbouring town but I see her most days with Daisy and her carrier bags always well laden.
Maureen makes my day and I alway like to catch up on some of the scrapes and situations she gets in.
Maureen dreams that one day she will spot a bargain and won't have to trek around looking for something to sell on. Somehow I think it may remain a dream, but also her and Daisy are so used to the wandering they'd find it difficult to give up.
