Highly Unsprung

Blowin a hoolie

Our only day of rain took us first to the cake fridge (alas cash only, of which we had no loose change, so left empty handed) and on to the nearby waterfall for a peaceful walk amid local birds. Then a wee side trip to Michaelswood in a crazy downpour where Dave stayed put in the car while Sam and I went for an explore and saw a wee ferret beastie hiding under the wee wooden library at the top. Over to Eshaness Lighthouse and imposing cliffs amidst some wild weather, the noise of the wind and waves were deafening but brilliant to experience...loads  of coachloads of tourists though so we went off a less travelled road to  Stenness Beach to walk round the headland, past a scary blowhole to get sight of Dore Holm, an elephant of an outcrop all at sea. Finished by going all meta at night watching Shetland, in Shetland, with gin. Bliss.
