The purge

Enough is enough, I’m leaving, I’m going someplace where the air quality is breathable!

This is from the balloon flowers on the left side of the deck.

You would not believe how little I have packed! (What am I forgetting?)

Now, ordinarily, we would not celebrate the misfortunes and distress of others, but intrigue and distrust in Russia are good for Ukraine.

There are rumors and intrigue about the location of two of Russia’s most senior generals. General Valery Gerasimov, commander of Russia’s war in Russia, has not appeared in public since the mutiny. General Sergei Surovikin, nicknamed General Armageddon for his tactics in Syria, deputy commander in Ukraine, has also disappeared. Reports are that he has been arrested. He was viewed by Western military analysts as effective, so his disappearance is good for Ukraine.

Authorizes are going after military who showed a “lack of decisiveness” to put down the mutiny. Bloggers are upset because these guys are getting punished while actual mutineers are getting sent to Belarus.

Some pilots and airmen are being questioned for refusing to fire on Wagner troops and, again, bloggers think this is hypocritical when mutineers were let go. Russian border guards who waved the troops through rather than pointlessly try to fight them are being investigated.

The US is replenishing the Bradley fighting vehicles that were damaged.

There is a video that shows a Ukrainian shooting down a Russian Su-25 war plane from miles away using a shoulder-mounted missile. These are designed to fly low and support Russian troops but this makes them easier to hit with should-held launchers.

Absolutely no spy work was necessary for Ukraine’s spy boss to tell us that Russia is planning to assassinate Prigozhin. There are also no people anywhere in the world surprised by this statement.
