Cows in the meadow ,,,it's summer!!!!

What better picture for the first day of summer than a cow lying in the long grass in the meadow peacefully chewing it's cudd.
I went to this special place (Newbridge) today to look for dragonflies , and damselflies.
It is a great pklace for them because it is where the river Arun runs alongside the canal, and whilst the canal runs straight through the fields the river meanders back and forth across them.
These lovely cows were lying in the long grasses in the field the other side of the river just enjoying summer!
In my opinion nothing beats lying in a meadow watching the blue sky above and drinking in the feel of the bugs and plants around you! - unfortunately there were a lot of cow pats both sides of the river so any lying around was out of the question!!!
