While on my runs

On a leafless tree

Spent an hour and a half this morning clearing weeds and dead ponga fronds from where we hope to establish a fernery or other planting once the new retaining wall has been installed. Tradescantia was also removed, filling a second big black bag (the first was taken by the rubbish collectors a couple of weeks ago). The extra shows where I cleared.

The first part of the afternoon was back into the world of crime in Newcastle on Tyne. Well, that's where the books are set. Until it seemed right to have a jog. Felt better than for many a month. It was on that jog that I saw a leafless tree covered in orange fruit that look like persimmons to me.
