Old House

I understand that this old forester's house is over 200 years old and I have been meaning to get a shot of it for some time. The floors are still packed earth and part of the roof is still thatched. I last saw this house in the middle of the winter when some of its imperfections were less visible. One of the things that make it special are the end gables. As you can see, people live here. I thought about B&W but I wanted to show how it really looks.

We took an indirect route to Suwalki to R and M's for M's name day which was a great success. I took a couple of shots were were pleasing.

The rain had stopped by the time we left. Perhaps it was better that M decided not to do a grill in the garden.
