Carrots weeded

I spend the morning in the garden. The carrots are swamped by dill seedlings and, to a lesser extent, tomatoes and dockens. Once cleared, I reseed the areas where none have germinated.

I discover Angus in the house at lunchtime. He has got as far as Newbridge before the guy he was working for called in to cancel the day.

Late afternoon, I head to the Tweedbank unit to reassemble the stainless workbench. It’s hard without the instructions, but after a couple of false starts, it’s ready for work.

Chicken stew back in Earlston - and a bottle of coop Merlot.
