Joyeux anniversaire

Nope ... not the best photo I took today, but it's representative of just how dangerous life is in our village as France goes up in flames. It was G's 65th birthday and also, pizza night, so here she is celebrating. Some wine may have been consumed at this point, along with the pizzas.

In the morning, a lovely swim and chat with Ingrid and G. The wind has dropped and the temperature of the water is just lovely, once you are in. It was hard to resist doing extra lengths, so I didn't.

In the late afternoon I went to a free concert in the cathedral garden in Narbonne, featuring Steeve Laffont (extra, and previously seen here,  a brilliant guitarist). This time with Hammond organ and drummer. I know not everyone likes Hammond organ, but I do. Listen here (sans organ). It was lovely sitting in the shady garden listening to cool music while admiring the cathedral, the plane trees, and the zooming swifts. It's a tough life!
