Sunrise

A daily moment of joy is opening our front windows, leaning out towards the Port and seeing the sunrise. Always beautiful and always peaceful. I was talking with someone the other day about those daily small joys that make life sweeter - first coffee of the day is another one...a freshly wiped down kitchen counter! What are yours??
The kids needed a bit of refereeing this morning. They usually sort themselves out when they fall out, but they needed some extra help today!
I saw the ES guys - lovely as ever. I came home having been given 6 duck eggs!
Nate was an excellent help with the shopping this afternoon, heaved a heavy bag home. He was also delight to discover that one of the women who sits outside the shop asking for money, who we've known for years, is one of his best school friend's great auntie!
A lovely highlight in the day was Sole calling for a catch up, no other reason, just a chat. We're going for a coffee tomorrow afternoon. A lowlight was seeing an Italian homeless friend who had his bag stolen, very very unfortunately it had his identity documents in it. It's a huge headache to get them re-issued, especially with no money and no fixed abode. Another Italian friend waited 14 years to get his passport re-issued, though his situation was more extreme.

Also thanks for all your kindness yesterday - feeling loads better...May avoid wine for the foreseeable!!!

Today I'm grateful for;
1) Listening to 2 excellent podcasts today on the bus to and from the ES guys.
2) The sunrise this morning and starting the day with a moment of loveliness.
3) The moment Nate turned back into himself again after a challenging time.
