The Pensioner

Two Islands

A full day of minky-minking. After picking her up and subjecting her to delicious peaches and yoghurt I whistled her over to R&E’s as they were childminding for the day too. We could let the children play while we sat in the sun and yapped. Well, that was the plan. Little Jules wanted minky to come down and play in the bushes at the bottom of the garden; minky was rather too taken with their Stomp Rocket. Eventually Jules stole away into the undergrowth with the fired rockets where she pulled the fins off their tails. Haha. A repeat visit to ours is on the cards.
Then back and over for a long play on the beach. I made a boat which got swamped by the incoming tide, and then a castle which suffered the same fate. The SK exclaimed that the tide seemed to be coming more swiftly than normal. Due to Spring tides at the moment though I haven’t got round to explaining how that phenomena is linked with the phases of the moon. Give me time. And then I’ll need to explain it to the minky too.
