Lost in Thought

Thatched Cottage

We've had a lazy morning in Wareham just walking around some of the wall route, window shopping and looking at the older buildings around the church and quay area.  This pink thatched cottage appealed as a blip, although you can see some other houses from different periods on either side. The church itself is interesting with an extensive Commonwealth War Graves area and  a smaller set of headstones from German WW2 servicemen who met their end in the area - usually washed up on the shore

The small dark red sign is pointing to an old warehouse re-purposed as an interesting and eclectic artists display space - well worth a visit.

I'm intending to leave looking through the Wide Wednesday entries until later this evening - to give anyone on the west coast of the USA time to upload their blip.  However - we are out to dinner so if we are back late I might delay the results until tomorrows blip.

Wide Wednesday Results  (dodgy t'internet so I might not be able to insert links.  Oh well - links appear to be ok!)

Favourites to:

Sofiavillanueva - lovely soft tones and unfocussed areas
Freespiral - botanical greens
Bobsblips - long exposure abstract cycling
SueJay50 - more botanical greens
Fitzbilly - coastal greenery

Honourable mentions to:
Madowi - vegetation claiming rocks
Technophobe - the inevitable lawn cutting after a holiday
AnnieandChris - A drone image with long shadows
RockArea - Dartmoor greenery under a great sky
Pelourousjack - greenery shot in Infra Red

and - a Special Mention to:
Les Tension - anyone getting a race car into a challenge with green as a theme deserves something!

Thanks to everyone who entered - and for putting up with me as a host.
I could easily find something positive to say about all of the entries over my three weeks of hosting - which probably means I'll be volunteering to cover for Bob again at some point :-)
However - normal service will be resumed next week!
