Day at a Time

Blackmill Bay

Walked a short circuit at Blackmill Bay this morning. Watched sheep being brought in and some clever dogs working hard with them. It's a tiny settlement by the shore, as you can see. I've added an extra of the abandoned ticket office from the days when freight and passenger boats stopped here.

Last night's weather was lively. I've not mentioned that our holiday accommodation is a caravan so we heard the rain pounding and felt the wind blowing for several hours. The caravan is one of six, right on the sea, and where we stayed five years ago. The small site is run on the most sustainable basis possible. We really like it but I must admit to finding the space a bit limited. It's not a 'super van'!

The rain has now cleared away and it's a decent day. This evening is forecast to be beautiful. As a final treat we're collecting a take away evening meal from the Atlantic Islands Centre. Fish & chips for Cameraman and falafel with salad for me. Hope there might be a slice of gf border tart left too.

I'll be back to blip commenting soon but there's next to no signal available. Meanwhile thanks for sticking with me.
