The Lad Himself.

We set the trail camera up last night, not expecting the badger to return, but were pleasantly surprised. Not only that, but he showed significant respect by not spreading the contents of the bin he didn’t favour all over the floor – unlike yesterday.
 
We also caught a mouse, a cat, a pigeon and a slug. The last was not welcome; the rhyme, “The slugs crawl in, The slugs crawl out, They go in thin, They come out stout!” applies to the way they treat the bee hives in the garden. I’m not aware that they spread diseases to the bees, but they do steal honey (and probably bee larvae), and make a disgusting mess.
I think they also cause significant stress when they make a bee hive their winter home.
