I saw this shadow on the porch stairs, and it is a real mystery.  I've never seen anything like it before.  I couldn't find what was causing it.  It is clearly a shadow because when I blocked the sun it disappeared.  Later, when the sun moved, it disappeared for good.  I immediately thought of the word "Ka", the ancient Egyptian word for the soul's spirit that leaves the body at death.  Today would have been the 84th birthday of my cousin Patti who passed away in May.  Strange...very strange.  Gift#188: a moment of mystery.
