In other news, after Himself spent  all day yesterday sitting in the ED at our local hospital with his mum, she was finally admitted to a ward at midnight after falling when she go up. She'd - despite being told not to - double locked the front door so her carer couldn't get in and the Fire Brigade had to break in through an upstairs window. She seems ok, no broken bones at least but she has no memory of falling, or of the Fire Fighters or Paramedics so they wanted to keep her in. She's very confused today as well, probably more as she's in unfamiliar surroundings. They think she has a UTI, on top of the dementia  but the plan is hopefully to discharge her tomorrow after she's has a mobility assessment and some ABs.
