Take Me Away

Ruddy darters at Pirton Pool this afternoon and if you look closely you can see the egg she is ovipositing in the grasses along the lake side. 

The black-tailed skimmers were zooming around protecting their territory and I sat on the bank trying to get a shot. Very flighty skimmer in extra.

There is now a huge thunderstorm overhead and I'm fractionally worried about my computer as everything went off last night. 

The kids and little one have headed off to Devon and Cornwall for a couple of weeks - phew .....
