Breaking Bud

I bought  a bunch of peonies from the rather nice florist round the corner from the Baobab Café when we were in Loughborough last Thursday. One is just beginning to open up.

I used my lens baby velvet 50mm for the diffuse glow it provides.

Laid in bed until almost 9.30 am and have felt somewhat enervated for the rest of the day. A thunderstorm hit at 5 pm just when Basil was going out for a walk. The thunder put him off.
