Lavender, lavender, lavender... it's all lavender today.

It was fun, over post-breakfast teacups in the front garden, watching all the various bees making their way through the lavender. It seemed they were coming in waves; first the little black and whites buff bumbles, then the red bottomed earlies and then the big garden bombus chaps.

This red tailed bumble caught the early morning sunshine beautifully as he worked his way up the lavender stalks.
