The river Ouse and York Minster

We set off late (much to Grahams exasperation) for an 11 am start at York Minster. It was a fascinating place… the actual building was quite amazing, alongside the history of the site which included Roman, Viking and medieval uses. We then headed off to a girly afternoon of nails, tea, scones and cinnamon toast, while the boys played snooker for the afternoon. We came back to dinner on the barge overlooking the river Ouse. We have only been here 2 days but I have developed a fondness for York. I suspect we will only scratch the surface of all York has to offer before we leave. Photo is of the river Ouse, extra is if the children at York Minster.
