Södra Forstadskanalen

Bumbling around Malmö has been utterly delightful today; the sort of agenda-less day that holidays were made for.

Fish and chips at a café by the river, reading on a bench in a sun trap under the high walls of St Peter’s Church, browsing places to spend Swedish krona (harder than you would think in an increasingly contactless world), and generally loitering about. Pictured is the Södra Forstadskanalen River running through central Malmö.

Late in the evening I flew to my final country destination of this trip, His Majesty’s United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The weather in Manchester was described by the pilot as ‘pretty nice’ at 15 degrees. This was stretching the weather whingeing parameters even before I’d disembarked. But I was excited to see family and various chums.
