Malmö

I’ve shifted over to Malmö, across the bridge from Copenhagen in Sweden, as it’s more acceptable in terms of accommodation (more in line with UK costs than the bankruptcy-inducing Denmark). I’ve found some good value lodgings at some university accommodation, which during the summer period seems to be home to a ragtag bunch of mature students and middle-aged holidaymakers.

As a city Malmö is definitely pleasant and interesting in its own right, which a rich maritime history and an air of bonhomie. Despite a relatively good run of late, the weather has turned cool, blustery and rainy, i.e. not very good. I spent the day pootling in Malmö, the highlight of which was the Castle (one of the fortress wings pictured).
