There was a training exercise at the beach today with the rescue helicopter and an ambulance where the beach was cleared to allow the helicopter to land.

A platform was being towed by tugs into the river Wear.

Bylgia is the name of the ship opposite the glass centre at Sunderland docks. It is an anchor handling vessel and now heading for Audrey B natural gas platform. It is an unmanned platform.
