Animal Farm

This morning, we joined members of Winchester GoLD ( club for adults with learning disabilities)for a fun time with four members of Winchester Musicals and Operas Society who organised a performance  work shop on the theme of sailors and life on the sea. The Opera Society is performing HMS Pinafore next week. 
This evening we attended Winchester'e Theatre Royal for a production of George Orwell's Animal Farm, performed by Blue Apple, a drama group for people with learning disabilities. We knew some of the actors as they are also members of Winchester GoLD. 
It was a marvellous performance, and quite humorous at times. They had revised the ending to make it more uplifting than in the original story. 
It rained nearly all day so it was fortunate we had planned to be indoors.
